Fazioli F198

The F198 is a new release from Fazioli in 2024 and represents one of their most important design breakthroughs. Essentially, Paolo Fazioli has redesigned a piano around the mechanism and tone characteristics of the renowned, larger model, the F212, which is 212cm long. He has incorporated these characteristics in a piano of 198cm which makes it more versatile in the kind of space that can accommodate it. In particular, this makes a real difference when the piano is to be in a home environment and the pianist is looking for as much of the qualities of the larger recital model as possible. 
 
Ian’s impression: Having played this piano at its launch, I can confirm that the tone was remarkably close to that of the F212, which we carry in our showroom and I know well.
